Fig. 2 Phylogenetic relationships of the 22 STs identified in this study. The tree was constructed from concatenated MLST gene sequences of the STs found in Ireland plus one type strain using the neighbour-joining method. Bootstrap support values (%) are indicated for each node. Multiple strains of the same ST (ST1*) as the type strain M. abscessus subsp. abscessus CIP T were in the dataset from Ireland, ST37** corresponding to the type strain M. abscessus subsp. massiliense CIP T was added from the international database.
