Chosen in him = called according to his purpose (Rom. 8:28-30)
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God (1 Pt. 1:2)
Chosen collectively (Deut. 7:6-8; Acts 13:17; 1 Pt. 2:9-10)
This is not separate from the gospel and belief! (Eph. 1:13)
