3 The earliest people lived more than two million years ago, during the Paleolithic Age.

4 Archaeological studies suggest that the earliest people evolved in Africa’s Great Rift Valley.

5 During the Paleolithic Age, early people migrated to other areas of the world.

6 Early people moved frequently to search for food and were called hunters and gatherers.

7 By 10,000 B.C., early people learned how to domesticate animals and farm, no longer needing to search for food.

8 This resulted in the Neolithic Revolution: a period when early people changed from nomadic hunting to settled farming.

9 As a result of the Neolithic Revolution: more food became available, populations grew, cities rose, and civilizations developed. Egypt Sumer (Mesopotamia)
