1 WLTP – NEDC Correlation Exercise AVL Cruise Conventional Model Template Munich 25 July 2014

2 Conventional Model Template
The model structure is depicted on the right Based on the “Man FWD” Cruise default model “FSS Bogacki / Shapine+” is chosen as the simulation method Additional features: Start Stop Thermal Model GB Temperature Calculation Electric System Calculation Mechanical Consumers

3 Conventional Model Template

4 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 Results Summary

5 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 NEDC Cold Cycle – Cumulative FC
On 5% Limit: 90.6% Correlation: 100% Diff. on CFC: -0.7% Velocity Corr.: 99.9%

6 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 NEDC Cold Cycle – Engine Speed
Correlation: 96.9%

7 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 NEDC Cold Cycle – Instantaneous FC
Correlation: 95.5%

8 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 NEDC Cold Cycle – Temperature
Correlation: 98.8%

9 Application for Fiat 1.4 Fire Evo2 MT Euro6 NEDC Cold Cycle – Gearbox Temperature
Correlation: 99.6%

10 Discussion A template model is considered necessary in order to:
Allow a clear and coherent input data collection form for all OEMs, Finalize the list of inputs which should be used for the SA, Allow the finalization of the meta-models development, which should take into account all related sub-models The template model should be applied to other vehicles and compared with the measurements, for further validation JRC, along with LAT, should collaborate on the previous point Additional components may be added (AT – controllers ??)
