Amplitude Amplitude- maximum distance that the particles of a medium vibrate from their rest position Larger amplitude means more energy

Wavelength Wavelength- the distance between any two crests or compressions next to each other in a wave Wavelength can be measured between any two corresponding points in a wave Shorter wavelength represents more energy

Frequency Frequency- number of waves produced in a given amount of time Frequency is usually expressed in hertz (Hz) Higher frequency represents more energy

Wave Speed Wave speed- the speed at which a wave travels
Wave speed = wavelength (λ) X frequency (f)

Frequency and Wavelength Relationship
Frequency and wavelength are inversely related Higher the frequency the shorter the wavelength
