4 Who is going? 18 HK students, 13 present French students
5 former French students Sophomores, juniors, seniors 3 adult chaperones (teachers) Student will be divided into groups of 6, assigned to one chaperone

5 Flights Sunday > Monday

6 Basic Itinerary Paris, two days, includes evening river cruise
Loire Valley, two days Brittany/Normandy, 2 ½ days Paris, ½ - 1 day Flying, 2 days  We are travelling with a school from Chicago!

8 EMERGENCY? In France: In the US:
We have a bilingual tour director with us ALWAYS EF Tours has 24 Emergency Services in France Tell your chaperone In the US: EF has 24 Emergency Services in US to contact us There will be a local point of contact in CT as well (staff member)

9 SAFETY Always stay with group
Keep in touch with your assigned chaperone WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER Participate in all activities Pay attention

10 Daily Itineraries Nightly meeting in lobby: In morning:
We will meet each night in lobby to Review the finished day Go over following day’s itinerary In morning: That day’s itinerary posted in lobby Be on time!

11 RULES: This is a school trip: Behavioral expectations are high.

12 General Safety: Pay attention to instructions Be aware
Of what is around you In crowds Of your belongings (esp. passport/money) No earbuds in public/during tours

13 Subway (le métro) Getting on: Getting off: Stay with your group
Chaperone gets on last Be aware, if crowded Doors close automatically If your group does not all get on together: GET OFF AT THE NEXT STOP Getting off: Meet group immediately on platform: check in with your chaperone Chaperone gets off last If you do not make it off: get off at next stop and wait

14 City Safety Paris is not Higganum! BE AWARE. Carrying belongings:
Keep money/passport in inside pockets Wallets in front pocket Consider not using a purse with a long strap Crowds: Tourists are vulnerable Pickpockets exist

16 Luggage All luggage will be searched. Checked bags: Carry-on:
Turn in Friday. We will weigh bags (50 lbs max) Mrs. Hayward will search bags. Bags will be secured through departure. Carry-on: Bring Sunday Processing line (including carry-on search) You will not have access to checked bag!

17 Day of departure  Sunday: meet at HK, in the AM
Time to be announced Bags will be weighed Bags will be searched Final announcements made Coach bus to Boston-Logan Airport We check in and go through security as a group
