Writing – Figurative Language
Writer’s Notebook.. Please have your child bring in 10 photos of their choice that serve as a memory or personal link to your child’s life. These will be used to develop ideas for future writing pieces. Please note that these photos may be cut to size and glued to their notebook.
Spelling-Unit 9; will be given to students but the test will not be until Friday, December 2. The Packet will be due on Thursday, December 1 because of the short week next week. Spelling packets can be turned in ahead of time if they completely early.
Notes and Reminders:
Next week we will only be going to school Monday (21st )and Tuesday(22nd). The kids technically have Wednesday, November 23 through Monday, November 28; 6 days off. We will return to school on Tuesday, November 29.

We are in need of plain envelopes.
Please encourage your child to read at least 30 minutes each night.
We will be decorating the covers of our Writer’s Notebook on Monday. Please allow your child to bring in 10 pictures that represent his or her life. These may be pics of family, childhood photos, friends, pets, hobbies, favorite things, foods etc.
We had a special guest come in to teach an activity on Electricity. Her name was Ms. Wrobel. She works with many students in the community. It was a great pleasure to have her come in and help us out with this science unit. Thanks Ms. Wrobel.
Next week is a short week, so have a great Thanksgiving Break. See you on Tuesday, November 29.
Healthy snacks should be brought on a daily basis.
