Objectives:
Explain the difference between weather and climate.
Explain the difference between direct and indirect rays and how the tilt of the Earth causes our seasons

3. The main difference between weather and climate is the length of time over which both are measured!
Tech Terms:
weather – the condition of the atmosphere at a particular time AND latitude.
climate – the average weather condition in an area over a long period of time.

revolution – the movement of one object around another object.
orbit – any planets path as it revolves around another planetary object.

5. solstice – two days during the year when the sun’s rays are shining directly on 23.5N (Tropic of Cancer) and 23.5S (Tropic of Capricorn).
equinox – two days during the year when the sun’s rays are shining directly on the equator.
