When a reference is provided as evidence for a Descriptor, no other annotations or evidence are required. ** Testimonial (mandatory): Applicants are to include a testimonial based on direct observation of the classroom practice by the head of school or the head’s nominee. For these six Descriptors covered in the testimonial, no other annotations or evidence are required. Evidence for Descriptors 7.1 and 7.2 will be in the form of a Head of School report

4 Requirements for accreditation at ET
Number of descriptors To gain accreditation at the level of Experienced Teacher, applicants need to provide evidence that clearly demonstrates they have met the 37 Experienced Teacher descriptors. If the principal has signed off 1.4 then those teachers will need to demonstrate 36 descriptors. Collecting Evidence Teachers have one year in which to collect evidence, between 2nd September 2013 and 8th September 2014.

5 Requirements for accreditation at ET
Maximum of five descriptors per item of evidence. Head of school report addresses descriptors 7.1, 7.2 and 5.5 (partial). Head of school report, testimonial and declaration of authenticity must be signed by principal of school. All descriptors requiring items of evidence must be annotated.

Effective annotation of an item of evidence enables an applicant to demonstrate his or her thinking on why and how each item of evidence demonstrates a descriptor. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that evidence is effectively annotated to enable the assessor to understand the nature of the evidence, why it has been included and the connection between the item and the descriptor.

9 The Experienced Teacher Evidence Guide
This Guide has been written for applicants, principals, supervisors and referees and includes: a glossary that provides an explanations of common terms a summary of the suggested types of evidence an example of how to demonstrate (indicators) and provide evidence (types of evidence) for one of the Descriptors information regarding annotating evidence and how much evidence .
