Climate change impacts on mountain regions (ACQWA):
The project will assess the impacts of a changing climate, focusing on the quantity and quality of water originating in mountain regions assessing the influence to downstream regime and related sectors and uses. It will quantify the influence of climate change to river discharge and analyse the impacts on society and accounting feedback mechanisms.
Deliverables:
Impacts on forests, aquatic ecosystems, agriculture, water demand, reservoir management & hydropower, tourism
Case studies, assessment of competitive uses of water
Adaptation measures and policy choices
Dissemination to policy: Report, WG policy + stakeholder interface

Bridging the Gap Between Adaptation Strategies of Climate Change Impacts & European Water Policies (ClimateWater):
Analysis of the adaptation measures & strategies on climate change impacts on water including water use related activities.
Process: review the impacts; analysis, review and synthesis of adaptation measures including mitigation in order to formulate a coherent framework on adaptation strategies of climate change impacts on water resources and water uses.
