The iPhone was announced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs during the keynote address at the Macworld Conference & Expo on 9 January 2007.  It's an Internet-enabled mobile phone that has revolutionized the mobile industry. The iPhone's features include those of a camera, capturing video, an MP3 and video player, mobile phone, and Internet services like , text messaging, web browsing, Visual Voic and wireless connectivity. The iPhone user input is accomplished via touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons. The iPhone was released in the United States on June 29, 2007 and made available from the Apple Store and from AT&T Mobility, formerly Cingular Wireless.

4 The first iPhone The first iPhone was released in January 2007. The iPhone (retroactively labelededthe original iPhone, iPhone 2G) is a Smartphone hat was designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is the first generation of iPhone and was announced on January 9, 2007 after months of rumors and speculation. It was introduced in the United States on June 29, It featured quad-band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS and EDGE support for data transfer. On June 9, 2008, Apple announced its successor, the iPhone 3G. The original iPhone no longer receives software updates from Apple; its final official firmware version was iPhone OS It has been reported that in 2013 the original iPhone will be considered "obsolete" in Apple retail stores, "vintage" by other service providers in the US, and "obsolete" in all other regions. Apple does not service vintage or obsolete products, while replacement parts for obsolete products will not be available to service providers.

5 iPhone 2 facts The iPhone 2G only supported Wi-Fi, GSM, and Bluetooth. This means its speed surfing the Internet were quite limited. Both phones have a 2MP camera, but do not feature a video recorder. The iPhone 3G weighs 4.7 ounces compared to the 2G’s weight of 4.8 ounces (not a notable difference). The only downside to 3G capabilities is that it eats into battery life.  The iPhone 2G beats out the newer version in that regard by providing up to 8 hours of talk-time compared to 5 hours with the 3G.

6 iPhone 3 facts The iPhone 3G is a Smartphone that was designed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is the second generation of iPhone, and was introduced on June 9, 2008 at the WWDC 2008at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, United States. The iPhone 3G was internally similar to its predecessor, but included several new hardware features, such as Assisted GPS, 3G data and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. The device also benefited from software improvements introduced with iPhone OS 2.0, which was launched at the same time. As well as other features (including Push and turn-by-turn navigation), this new operating system introduced the App Store—Apple's new distribution platform for third-party applications.

It is the fifth generation of the iPhone, succeeding the iPhone 4 and was announced on October 4, It became available for pre-order on October 7, 2011 in seven initial countries (United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan) with the first delivery date set for October 14, 2011, and available on that same day for direct in-store sales in those countries. It was released in 22 more countries, including Ireland, Mexico, and Singapore, on October 28

8 iPhone 5 The iPhone 5 is a touch screen-based Smartphone developed by Apple Inc.. It is the sixth generation of the iPhone and succeeds the iPhone 4S. The phone is a slimmer, lighter model that introduces a higher-resolution, 4-inch screen to the series with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio Apple held an event to formally introduce the phone on September 12, Apple began taking pre-orders on September 14, 2012, and over two million were received within 24 hours. Initial demand for the iPhone 5 exceeded the supply available at launch on September 21, 2012, and has been described by Apple as "extraordinary", with pre-orders having sold twenty times faster than its predecessors. Following the launch, Samsung filed a lawsuit against Apple, claiming that the iPhone 5 infringes eight of its patents.

Apple was incorporated on January 3, 1977, without Wayne, who sold his shares back for $800. Wayne wrote the Apple I manual, drafted the partnership agreement, and drew the first Apple logo.
