7th Grader Shannon Fernandes
Last quarter during HTMS’ first nine weeks, my friend, Shannon Fernandes, accomplished a three-point, buzzer beater in P.E.!!
I am Apolonia Ketty, and I would like to share that even though Shannon doesn’t often make many shots like that, on that day, when Coach Z blew the whistle for class to be over, Shannon had made her first three-pointer, and it was very exciting for all of us!
Congratulations Shannon on such an amazing shot!

6th Grader Katelynn Tyler
Hi, I am June Davis. I am choosing Katelynn Tyler for student spotlight. She is smart, athletic, and a great leader. Katelynn was elected student council president for the 6th graders. She is a hard worker and after school she doesn't stop in her pursuit of accomplishments. She is the team leader of her basketball team, Peak Performance. That’s why I am choosing Katelynn Tyler for our student spotlight.

16. The homeroom in each grade level that turns in the most Box Tops will win a “Breakfast Party” to be catered by our very own HTMS Café! This contest will run until Friday, November 16, the day before the Thanksgiving break. So bring in those Box Tops and turn them into your HR teacher!
