Group Topic/Issue Guiding Policies/Regulations Team A: Expanding STEM & Developing Hybrid JCLC’s AR 145-2 CCR 145-2 USACC AY Training Guidance w/JROTC Define a JROTC Hybrid JCLC (Example) Current Examples of Hybrid JCLCs How to Develop a Hybrid JCLC Discussion Short/Long Term Recommendations LTC Barrow’s JCLC is a hybrid JCLC Example 5th Bde: Practical STEM applications incorporated in and around legacy JCLC structure Detroit: Cadets rotate through single STEM station over 5 days. 4th Bde: ½ day project oriented STEM classes; around legacy JCLC structure; final day project display and explanation. Establish relationships: Universities, local resources, business and industry. USACC provides purpose, direction, and guidance USACC Incorporates into CCR (non-prescriptive) Disseminate Hybrid JCLC example throughout the command. USACC provides purpose, direction and guidance as part of SY training guidance with the definition and the focus of making a STEM activity mandatory during JCLC (SY JCLCs already set) Enhance current STEM training at JCLCs as practicable. Begin establishing relationships at the local level USACC publishes updated CCR with official JCLC training guidance. Don’t fully replace traditional health, fitness, Army values, etc. from JCLCs to focus solely on academic endeavors.
