What is world toilet day all about?
World Toilet Day, celebrated on 19th November, is about taking action to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030. Around 892 million people practise open defecation: going to the toilet in the streets, fields and bushes near their homes. More than half of this group – approximately 520,000,000 people – live in India, around 40% of the national population.

To ensure to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030 is part of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: sanitation and water. What is SDG all about?

World Toilet Day, is about taking action to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030.
We should set goals that we want to achieve, these are personal to each of us – this might be to get 100% or to achieve a 5 in English and Maths. What goal will you set? Think about what a difference it will make when you achieve it!
