Preliminary Crimes Sometimes called Inchoate Crimes. These crimes can be punished even if the harm intended never occurred. Solicitation – Ask, command, urge or advise another person to commit a crime Attempt – When someone performs all the elements of a crime but fails to achieve the criminal result (pg.102) Conspiracy – Agreement between two or more people to commit a crime along with a substantial act toward committing the crime
