They had experienced revolt in Berlin and had little support
After Hyperinflation, support for the Weimar government was at an all time low
Adolf Hitler was someone who wanted to take advantage of this weak position…

4. Hitler had found himself as the leader of a small party called the German Workers’ Party
Their name changed to the NSDAP (or Nazis)
The group planned a putsch, or takeover, which he would lead
They would take over Munich in Bavaria first, followed by the rest of Germany

Hitler burst into a Beer hall where Von Kahr, head of Bavaria was speaking and put a gun to his head
He announced he was taking over Bavaria
Ludendorff allowed Von Kahr and his men to leave (they called police)
The next day Hitler and other Nazis marched through Munich and were met by the army
A violent street battle occurred between the SA and the army

People began hearing about ‘Herr Hitler’ through his trial/ prison time
