2 Pumpkins A pumpkin is a type of squash with a round, smooth, slightly ribbed skin. They are native to North America. The oldest evidence of pumpkins dates between 7000 and 5500 BC.

3 Pumpkins Pumpkins typically weigh between 6 and 18 pounds.
Some species weigh over 75 pounds.

4 Pumpkins The largest pumpkin ever grown in the United States was in 2007 and weighed 1,689 pounds!!!
