Competitions between wild-type B. thetaiotaomicron and the (A) ΔOMthi, (B) ΔpnuT, (C), ΔBioThi, (D) ΔΔBioThi-OMthi, (E) ΔΔBioThi-pnuT, (E) ΔΔTransport, and (F) ΔΔΔ thiamine acquisition mutants were performed over 4 or 5 days in defined thiamine concentrations. Strain abundances were quantified by qPCR and are represented as a percentage of the entire community at 4 concentrations of thiamine (0, 10, 100, and 10,000 nM).
