2 Monday March 6, 2016 Author and illustrater Lucy Cousins' entertains preschoolers everywear with her color full books about a bizzy mouse named Maisy and her friends. "I draw by heart" Cousins explains. I think of what children would like by going back to my own child- like instincts." Maisy apears in more than 50 books and has her own television program! She shares her creator's birthday, February 10 and keeps guiding kids through lifes little adventures.

3 CASTING CALL! Act 2, Scene 3 Parts: Romeo Friar Lawrence
Romeo and Juliet is meant to be watched, not read. It’s really much easier to understand what’s happening when you can visualize what characters are doing and who’s on the “stage.” So, we’re going to act it out! Things to Know: Stage Directions (words in italics, enter and exit) Stage Freeze (We will need to stop fairly often to check for understanding) Act 2, Scene 4 Parts: Romeo Mercutio Benvolio Nurse

For the rest of class, you have two jobs: 1. Complete the guide for Act 2, Scenes 1-2 and the Act 2 Vocab Chart from last time if you haven’t yet. Remember, those are due today! 2. Complete the guide for Act 2, Scenes Don’t forget to write at least three sentences for the summary activities. This packet will be due the next time I see you (Wednesday).
