2. HEALTH CHECK UP- Health check up programme in school are important as they undertake detailed health check up by experts. Such check ups are important as they assess normal development of the child and facilitates child’s growth and development. J.V.M.Sholtu undertook the routine blood group check for students from Nur to XII in the month of July. The test were carried out in Jindal Sanjeevani Hospital, Sholtu STEP PROGRAM- Three bright students of Class XI from J.V.M. Sholtu were selected to attend a two week motivational program called STEP ( Science and Technology Educational program)- Mandi. The students were selected on the basis of 10th result. The proposed initiative by H.P government aims to motivate students for higher studies in science and engineering . 15 days workshop was attended by 3 students of JVM Sholtu out of 22 children selected from three states. The participant shared their experience with the rest of the students.

3. SLOGAN WRITING- Water is the primary source of life and a unique quality of this planet. People need to be made aware about the significance of water. Slogans are very encouraging and helpful to the students and people as well, as they can be an eye opener. Our young minds at Sholtu joined in the awareness event , organized at the district level. Wow ! J.V.M. water smarter! ADHYAYAN TEAM VISIT- Adhyayan team visited J.V.M. Sholtu, in the month of July, to review the school. The review was conducted by Adhyayan training team and School Self Review and Evaluation team (SSRE). Such evaluation and reviews play vital roles in the development of the school. The management, teachers, students and parents community can look back and reflect over the previous school year and think forward to achieve better in the coming year.

4. FLOWER DAY- Our tiny tots grandly celebrated Flower Day on 8th July
FLOWER DAY- Our tiny tots grandly celebrated Flower Day on 8th July. The idea was to expose them to the world of flowers. Children looked stunning in their attire. Teachers helped the students prepare collage of different flower. The activity helped the kids to distinguish between different flowers and their colours.

5. QUIZ COMPETITION- Quiz was organized for the students of class III to V. Such competition motivates the students, boosting their confidence and determination. The students scoring highest points were appreciated by certificates. The winners were- 1st- Satluj House 2nd – Narmada House 3rd – Chenab House

6. DRESS UP LIKE MYTHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS- Class Nur and KG students enjoyed their Saturday activity all dressed up like Krishna , Rama, Durga and Shiva-- the mythological characters so close to our culture.

7. DRESS UP LIKE YOUR PARENTS- Class I and II kids came to school on Saturday, dressed up like their parents, having an enthusiastic attitude towards everything. Kids looked all bright and beautiful accomplishing the look of their progenitor.

8. UNDER 14 AND 19 GIRLS TOURNAMENT
GIRL’S TOURNAMENT- Girls tournament for under 14 and Under 19 year were held at Govt. Sen. Sec. School Urni. J.V.M Sholtu team participated in different events and brought laurels for our school. Two students of J.V.M. Sholtu , Eva and Zaina were selected for state badminton tournament.

11. CAREER COUNSELING FOR CLASS 11 STUDENTS- Career counseling is a process that will help the students to know and understand their weakness and strength to make educational and career decisions. J.V.M. Sholtu also mentors the students, through counselors. Mr. Sarbjit Singh from institute of Hotel management (IHM) Zirkpur, counseled the students regarding Hotel Management. Students have begun to explore other fields depending on their talent and interest. Class XII students also had a heart to heart talk with Apoorva Negi- Alumni of our school. Apoorva who has cleared the NEET Exam 2017 cleared many doubts and confusion of the students. Determination and motivation from ex- J.V.M. student will definitely inspire the performance of our young minds.
