20 Engineering Pathway Courses

21 Engineering Pathway Courses
1.00 credit General Elective (not science) IED, POE, CEA & CIM can be taken together with core sciences (Bio, Chem, etc.) Potential to earn college credit Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) Students learn about the design process, basics of 3D design, modeling software, and a variety of engineering skills

22 Engineering Pathway Courses
Principles of Engineering (POE) Mechanisms Material Strength and Structure Automation Kinematics Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Residential Design Commercial Building Systems 3-D Design Software Principles of Engineering (POE) is a foundation course of the Project Lead the Way Engineering Program that follows Introduction to Engineering and Design (IED). This survey course exposes students to some of the major concepts that they will encounter in a post-secondary engineering course of study. Through problems that engage and challenge, students explore a broad range of engineering topics, including mechanisms, the strength of materials and structures, automation, and kinematics. The course applies and concurrently develops secondary level knowledge and skills in mathematics, science, and technology.

23 Engineering Pathway Courses
Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Principles of Manufacturing Manufacturing Process Elements of Automation Integration of Manufacturing Elements using computers to control a production process
