Lesson Essential Questions
What are the effects of immigration on the countries involved? A C How do extreme physical events impact immigration? 7.3.9.A, C How do political, social and economic events impact immigration? A, C Classroom Use I will use this PP as an introduction to PUSH and PULL factors. As I show it, students will complete the accompanying “PUSH and PULL Factors Notes” sheet. This will hold students accountable for paying attention to the PP, and it will provide students with concrete notes to refer to later. After the PP, students will turn in their “Notes” sheet for a completion grade. To conclude the lesson, students will work in groups of three on the “PUSH or PULL? ” activity.
