To consolidate learning, deepen your understanding and prepare you for the work to come To develop effective study habits and be well prepared for rigorous, reformed GCSE courses To be responsible for your own learning and make great progress!

3 Home Learning: our approach
Is to set a fair, manageable amount of Home Learning Gives you every chance to complete it in a good amount of time Sets high expectations through a fair sanctions system if you choose not to complete your Home Learning

10 Year 13 Reviewing notes, checking classwork and completing study tasks are basic expectations of every student in every subject and are not “Home Learning” as such Students should be set 2 – 3 substantial pieces of Home Learning per week (2 x 60-90mins) in addition to the above good study habits If a teaching group is shared between two teachers, each colleague should set one task Due to the nature of Year 13 courses, it may be necessary to set more Home Learning, particularly at key points in the academic year when approaching PPEs, Mocks or Assessments
