Why develop guidelines?
To think about your plan and philosophy. To makes the process easier and less stressful. To show funders, potential employees, and the community. To make it more likely you will find and hire the right person.

Developing the guidelines:
Decide: Who will develop the guidelines. The kind of employee you want. What the hiring process will look like. What you can afford.

For training, decide: Who will conduct the training in each area.
When and for how long the trainings will take. The type of training. The materials needed. How, and by whom, the training will be evaluated. Uses for the evaluation.
