3 WHAT IS MULTICULTURALISM?
Canadian multiculturalism is fundamental to our belief that all citizens are equal. Multiculturalism ensures that all citizens can keep their identities, can take pride in their ancestry and have a sense of belonging. This encourages racial and ethnic harmony and cross-cultural understanding, and discourages hatred, discrimination and violence.

Things that are concerned with or belong to the material world Secularism is the belief that government practices and institutions should exist separately from religion or religious beliefs. Connected with religion.   Some faiths are so intertwined into the culture of a place that it appears as though the sacred is infused within everything.  For instance: Aboriginal Spirituality
