Directions: You will be creating a book on the Causes of the American Revolution. This will count as a Formal Grade. Each cause must have a picture and the description of what it was/how it lead to the war.

Early long term causes of discontent in the Colonies: Mercantilism Navigation Acts Salutary Neglect Triangular Trade Enlighteners Pg. 2 Write these terms down in your book. Pgs. 2-3. Pg. 2: Terms 1-2 Pg. 3: Terms 3-5 Make sure to skip plenty of lines in between each term. Take notes on each of these terms by watching the video clip to determine how these things lead to anger between England and the colonists early on. Remember each term must have a picture. Pg. 3

The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Years War, began in the Spring on In 1760, the battered French Army surrendered at Montreal. The entire nation of Canada was relinquished to the British. As part of the 1763 Treaty of Paris, The French lost not only Canada but also all lands in America east of the Mississippi River.

Treaty of Paris of 1763 The British gained control over the area west of the 13 British Colonies to the Mississippi River. The French agreed to relinquish any claims to the land and no longer support them. The north and east of the Mississippi River was now under British rule.

Pg. 6 Quartering Act (1765) King George III kept 10,000 soldiers in the colonies Required the colonists to house British soldiers and give them supplies.
