List examples Role Play for Shared Writing: Two children come into the classroom to fetch their lunch. (Add a few details) Shared writing, using time connectives: Writing Frame using Time Connectives DAY 3 TIME CONNECTIVES Word Work Objectives: Time connectives identify and list Text Objectives: To use time connectives in order to construct a recount LI: To use time connectives to explain role play Introduction: Brain storm time connectives. Then have two children perform a role play. Use shared writing and the time connectives to recount the event. Then do a second role play. This time children to use time connectives to construct their own Activity: This is a whole group activity. LA children to be given more support using a more precise writing frame. HA will need to report more and use more connectives Plenary: Using sentences beginning with time connectives, children report their work for group appraisal Role Play for Individual Writing: Two children come into the classroom to fetch a coat, but one knocks a vase off the table.
