November 27 – December 1 Standards RL2.1- Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text. RL2.2 (Intro) Recount stories, including fables and folktales from diverse cultures, and determine their central message, lesson, or moral. RL2.3- Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges. RL2.5- Describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and the ending concluded the action. RL2.6- Acknowledge differences in the points of view of characters, including by speaking in a different voice for each character when reading dialogue aloud. RL/RI2.10-Actively engage in-group reading activities with purpose and understanding. RF2.3- Know and apply grade level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. L2.4- (vocab)- Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple meaning words/phrases based on grade 2 reading and content, choosing flexibly from an array of strategies. Vocabulary Words Miniature- very small. Something that is miniature is smaller than the usual size. Rarely- not often or hardly ever Duplicate- copy Disguise- something that changes or hides how you look. A costume is a disguise. Spelling Words Which, do, their, if, will, mumble, wrote, tight, knob, simple, tumble, night, purple, knot, wrong Wish List Bagged Candy Pencils Cap Erasers Wipes Kleenex
