2 Options Available to You
If you want to bypass the foreign language requirement, you can take 5 credits in business classes.

3 Business and Math To bypass the traditional 3rd unit of math you can
Take Accounting it can be counted as a third unit of math. or B. Take Computer Programming I and II (you have to take both classes) can be counted as a third unit of math.

4 Career & Technical Education Endorsement--CTE
The Career and Technical Education endorsement is New York State recognition of successful completion of career-based courses.

5 CTE continued The student’s diploma will contain a technical endorsement and be considered a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation.  So… it is still better than a regular Regents Diploma because it is a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation

6 CTE continued Our Business Department offers a Career & Technical Education in MOUS and a Career & Technical Education endorsement in Accounting.

10 FREE COLLEGE CREDIT If a student passes the Accuplacer test, a student may earn 4 college credits in the MOUS class. A student can earn 3 college credits in Computer Graphics class A student can earn 3 college credits in Accounting class. These college credits are offered through the JCC College Connections program.

11 ECC COLLEGE CREDIT BEEP class can count as college credit if you take the class plus complete 3 more chapters in a book (College Success Skills) ECC College Credit is not free, it is usually $200 which is about one third of the cost of a college class NOTE: ALL College credit classes offered in the business department are weighted

12 MOS CERTIFICATIONS Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) is the credential required by academia and business, recognized globally as the premier credential chosen by individuals seeking to validate their knowledge, skills and abilities relating to the Microsoft Office systems. In academia, MOS promotes success in the class room for students and instructors, and prepares students for an increasingly competitive workforce For business, MOS maximizes office productivity and efficiency for the organization and increases job satisfaction and heightens career achievement among employees In workforce development, MOS prepares and places job candidates, ensuring they possess the skills employers require Student can test in and be certified in: Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 certifications are primarily for people who use Microsoft Office programs as a vital part of their job functions. These certifications cover the entire Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing Word 2010, PowerPoint® 2010, Excel® 2010, Outlook® 2010 and Access® 2010, Word Expert, Excel Expert, as well as Windows Vista®.

13 ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
If you take Hospitality & Tourism class, all students learn the ServSafe curriculum—afterwards, if you pass the test, then you earn a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate This certificate is used throughout the United States. It gives all students who pass an "extra edge" when applying for a job. Also in Hospitality & Tourism class you will be learning how to operate the POS systems like restaurants use

GPA Business/Marketing Courses 88% or higher—have taken 3 business credits GPA Overall 85%, no attendance issues, has shown character, leadership, and scholarship

Matt Crandall & Haylei John placed first in Hospitality Services Team Decision making in the State Competition in Rochester they will be going on to the International Competition in Atlanta, Georgia from May 3-7. Tyler Hahn also placed in the top 10 for Accounting Applications at the DECA Competition in Rochester
