4. SECURITY IS OUR PRIORITY
Our data centre operates 24/7 and are secured by double entry biometric
access control. All access and activity in and outside the data centre are
monitored via CCTV via internal and external security personnel.
Strict access control policies.
Biometric access control to the building and data centre areas.
Tamper alarms on biometric readers.
Locked security gates, not linked to the electronic access control.
CCTV with a 1 year recording retention policy.   
Access control logs 1 year retention policy.
24 hour security with hourly patrols of the data centre after hours.

5. SMART COOLING
The Data Centre is equipped with water cooled temperature controlled
equipment to provide the lowest possible PUE rating for the South
African Climate. Our approach of fully redundant hot air containment
further enhances our offering.

6. POWER THAT GUARANTEE 100% UPTIME
Redundant power utility utilisation with double backup power generators ensures and completes our 100% uptime
guarantee. Each primary and secondary power feed to the building is fed through automated switchover UPS equipment
each with their own battery banks.
The data centre is also manned 24/7 and environment checks are routinely performance as a preventative measure
day and night.

7. WATER AND FIRE PROTECTION
We have implemented a two stage Fire detection system that has an early warning monitoring circuit
that measures 0.4% air particles or smoke that alerts monitoring staff of possible fire or changes in
the environment. The second stage of detection is by means of a 4% particle air change and will deploy
the FM 200 gas system that is human friendly but will distinguish any fire hazard that may arise. Each
Cabinet is also monitored for temperature changes and is fully integrated into our monitoring software
architecture.
Automatic Fire suppression linked to the fire alarm using HFC-227ea gas,
leaving no residue on valuable equipment after discharge. The fire suppression
system is linked to smoke and particle detectors located throughout the
data centre, communications room, UPS room as well as under the
raised flooring.
Automated notifications from humidity and temperature sensors.
Automated water leak sensors and notifications.
Flooding prevention with automated water pumps.
