WFD Common Strategy Project 2.7 Guidance on Monitoring Outcome of 2^ Seminar of the WG 2.7 Roma, January 35 experts from MS and EU Inst. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, UK, Norway, EEA, JRC-EIS Experts from Slovenia, Hungary, as Accession Countries, and from EUROMETAUX and ECPA were invited.

Prepared under the Coordination Group by EEA/ETC Water Discussion by three different working groups: Inland waters, Coastal and Transitional Water and Groundwaters Towards a common understeanding of the monitoring requirements under the Water Framework Directive Guidance on Monitoring for the Water Framework Directive (Contributions by JRC-EIS and FEI. Finland, integrated by a note prepared by Italy on Monitoring of Groudwater). .

Restructure “Common Understanding” paper (paper of about pages) · Focus on key questions/issues and principles (a detailed list with possible contribution from experts). · Comments by 22 February to be sent to EEA/ETC Water (CIRCLE) · Revised paper by 8 March (paper should represented the general introduction to the Guidance for Monitoring document) · Place on CIRCLE for distribution and further comment Final paper for SGC in March and Water Directors June meetings .
