2 What Led up to peace of augsburg?
King Charles VIII of France led the first invasion on Italy This was the starting point to the Italian Wars The Peasants’ War also caused Peace of Augsburg Martin Luther was blamed for beginning these outbursts He sided with the nobles

3 What Happened? Martin Luther was at blame
The people had no say in religion The Schmalkdic League (German Lutheran Princes) were allowed to have their subjects exercise either Catholicism or Lutheranism There was an unrest in religion in Germany and led to their change in religion

4 What Happened pt. 2 There was an unrest in religion in Germany and led to their change in religion This led to religious wars They officially recognized Protestantism for the first time The Peace of Augsburg was signed in 1555 The Schmalkdic League (Lutheran Princes in Germany) got to choose their own religion after the war. They were only allowed to choose between Lutheranism and Catholicism.
