2 Let’s Talk about Eli Review
It’s 20% of your grade. If you turn them in late, they will get a late penalty. If you don’t turn them in on time, you can’t get put into groups. Your Eli Review assignments are the broken down version of the final assignments you turn into Blackboard. For those of you who are giving feedback solely on the checklist and not providing comments, you have received a 0 for the assignment. It’s your grade. You can do as you please, but keep in mind that Eli Review can make or break your grade at the end of the semester.

14 Ethos Ethos is the speaker's authority, character, and credibility. The audience can ask questions like, "How knowledgeable is this author about the topic?" and "Why should I trust author?”

15 Ethos Situated Ethos: Ethos developed by the context. This usually concerns the speaker’s and/or writer’s reputation within a community. (social status, public image, character, context …) Invented Ethos: Ethos developed by the choices and delivery of the speech/writing by the speaker. (What are the qualities of a speaker’s character as conveyed through his/her writing or speech? How does the writer/speaker project his/her self?)
