Goals Objectives To create a transformer using CNT threads
Design transformer Modify CNT threads by the processes of doping and coating. Replace Cu wires by CNT threads Using a battery, light up LEDs CNT- Carbon nanotubes Cu- Copper LED- light-emitting diode, used as a light source Transformer- electrical device

Final Product Battery connected to primary coil
LED connected to secondary coil CNT threads will replace coils Source: Energy Efficiency Transformer

Tasks Learn how a transformer works Understand properties of CNTs
Learn process of doping and coating CNT threads Choose ideal transformer design Wrap CNT threads on transformer Connect battery and LED to CNT threads Light up LED!

Timeline Week 2: Research topic and related material
Week 3-6: Attend seminars, run experiments, collect data Week 7-9: Analyze test results, conclude results Week 10-11: Finish up final deliverables: Final PowerPoint Presentation, Final Technical Paper, Final Poster and NSF Summary Report.
