3. Primary and Secondary Sources
Primary Source: An original source that shares firsthand knowledge and the information can be traced no further than its author.
Examples: Diaries, Journal Entries, Interviews, Memoirs, Letters, Editorials, Autobiographies
Secondary Source: A source that shares information that has been collected, compiled, summarized, and maybe even changed from its original source. The information can be traced beyond its author to at least one or more sources.
Examples: Textbooks, Dictionaries, Websites, Biographies, Research Papers
