Mass Immigration One of the biggest impacts of the I.R. was the movement to the cities from the country. Towns became overcrowded, and city life becomes controlled by the few rich.

Immigration by the Numbers:
Between million + immigrants came to the U.S.!! ¾ of NY population were either immigrants or 1st generation. Unlike in the past they are coming from mostly non-English speaking countries. What problems would this cause in American cities?
