2 Story cubes – instructions
The essence of the activity is that the students have to create/improvise a story using whatever picture is randomly rolled next, building on what has gone before. To add an extra dimension to this we want students to also use a connective as well as whatever picture is “rolled”. Choose a student to start. Press “s” to start the ppt spinning and “s” again when the student says stop. Whatever picture comes up has to be included in the story along with one of the connectives. Only some slides include a range of connectives. For extra challenge, the student has to incorporate at least one of these connectives in their story. Each student takes it in turns “spinning” the ppt to get their word which then has to be included next in the story. This encourages careful listening as well as creativity!
