GoalS Today Learn a few offensive drills that are FUN and teach fundamentals. Fundamentals are more important then scheme at the youth level. Practice organization must reflect this philosophy. Prevent coaches from becoming scheme rich and execution poor. Identify what skills are necessary for each offensive position.

Avon Youth Football Kindergarten through second grade: flag
Third and fourth grade: padded flag Fifth and sixth grade: traditional tackle

Practice Structure Overview and life skill and goal for the day (5 minutes) Warm-up (10 minutes) Individual skill development (center/QB exchange, QB/RB handoff, stance, blocking, etc.) (40 minutes) Water (5 min) Team period (formations then plays) (30 minutes) Review (5 minutes)

Offensive Line SKills Stance – Must be worked on EVERY practice
Blocking Body position – Safety is No. 1 concern Aiming points – Numbers or Nike swoosh Strike – hand, forearm or shoulder pad Gain movement – snap of hips
