1 Walking Worthy and Thankfully
Colossians 1:9-14

2 One of Paul’s disciples Epaphras was from the town of Colossae, about 120 miles (192 km) east of Ephesus. Paul sent Epaphras back to his home region where he preached the gospel and established churches in Colossae and in the neighboring towns of Laodicea and Hierapolis

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you and to as asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Colossians 1:9

But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “it is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the Law of Moses.” Acts 15:5

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-–all things were created through him and for him. And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you and to as asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,  so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Walking Worthy and Thankfully Colossians 1:9-10

So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. Proverbs 2:20 Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Proverbs 4:25-26

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you and to as asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,  so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; Walking Worthy and Thankfully Colossians 1:9-10

Obeying Him a way of devoting our Lives to Him . . .

How is our activity of knowing God displayed in our daily lives?

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

18 Thankfulness . . . Who knows you’ve been rescued and are thankful to the rescuer?

AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. The second is this, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YIOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

20 Thankfulness . . . Who knows you’ve been rescued and are thankful to the rescuer?

being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:11-14
