What is ICOP Benefits Risk
Globally harmonized certification scheme that is recognized by major Aviation, Space and Defense companies Supports supplier approval activities with a recognized quality management system Process approach to conformance assessment Focus on meeting customer expectations Risk Does not prevent procurement from poor performing suppliers It is not certification of product IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010

Certification Changes
9104/1 will include detailed definitions and eligibility criteria for the following certification structures Single Site Multiple Site Campus Several Sites Complex The above takes into consideration the unique organizational structures that exist in the Aviation, Space and Defense industry today IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010 9 9
10
Organizational Structures
Single Site - An organization that operates at one site. Site - A site is a permanent location where an organization carries out work or a service. Represents approximately 85% of all certificates in the ICOP Scheme IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010
11
Organizational Structures
Multiple Site - An organization having an identified central function and a network of sites at which activities are fully or partially carried out. All sites must have a common QMS and be doing substantially the same process. International Accreditation Forum Mandatory Document (IAF MD 1). IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010
12
Organizational Structures
Campus - An organization having an identified central function and a decentralized, sequential, linked product realization process. All sites must have a common QMS and support the same values stream. + + + = Value Stream IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010
13
Organizational Structures
Several Site - An organization having an identified central function and a network of sites that do not meet the criteria for a multiple site or campus organization operating under the same QMS. Central Function Site C Site A Site B Network of Sites IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010
14
Organizational Structures
Complex - An organization having an identified central function and a network of locations that are any combination of multiple site, campus, several sites or more than one campus. Must have a common QMS Will require review and approval Of OPMT Sub Team IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010

9100/9110/9120 Transition IAQG has established a 30 month timeline for certification transition: All aerospace auditors must successfully complete re-authentication process Suppliers must declare conformance to 9100/9120/9110:2009 Stakeholders must follow OPMT Supplemental Rule SR001 (Posted to OASIS) Audits have began and transition to be completed by July 2012 Additional guidance available at the following link: 9100 Deployment Support Materials IAQG Workshop October 21, 2010
