CPD is any learning that develops and maintains professional competence to enable a member to continue to perform their professional role.

What learning activities did you participate in?
Courses, conferences, seminars?
Did you do any presentations?
Did you write any reports?

4. I do not meet the CPD requirements
What do I do?
Enter a declaration of non-comply;
Give detailed explanation of why you are non-comply; and
Provide a plan on how you will bring your CPD back into compliance.

5. I retired during the year.
You have a full CPD requirement.
Do you comply?
If you do not comply you must make a declaration of non-comply.

6. Working during retirement.
No reliance on any skills, knowledge or experience as a CPA.
Just doing something to get out of the house during retirement.
You may qualify for an exemption.
Examples of positions with no reliance would be:
Walmart greeter
Restaurant server
Gas station attendant
Golf course grounds keeper

7. In review
Think carefully about all learning activities you have participated in.
If you do not comply, make a declaration of non-comply and provide details about how you’re going to rectify the shortfall.
