3. Why don’t you see these words come home?
Based on our Florida Language Arts standards, 3rd grade students should be able to…
“Ask and answer questions about information from a speaker, offering appropriate elaboration and detail.”
“Ask questions to check understanding of information presented, stay on topic, and link their comments to the remarks of others.”

4. What will change?
Our comprehension tests will move from the weekly story to “cold reads” based on the weekly skill or strategy

5. Science & Social Studies
Science: We are developing note taking skills in class and encouraging the studying of said notes at home.
Social Studies: We utilize the Studies Weekly Newspaper to address 3rd grade standards.
**We alternate Science and Social Studies (Roughly 4 weeks of each)**

6. Math We use GoMath for our instruction.
No notes can be used on test days, only your child’s brilliant brain!
