Are called semiconductors Are found along the stair step on the periodic table Aluminum and Polonium are considered metals

6 Nonmetals Poor conductor of heat and electricity
Exist in all three phases of matter at room temperature (most are gases) When solid, they are brittle (will shatter if hit)
