Don’t give up on “handouts”! - in whatever format Innovative Learning Resources should be comprehensive - or they won’t get used! 1st BDS students value “Traditional” Learning Resources most highly Take home message….. More innovative Learning Resources may not be widely used because there are not enough of them and/or they may be poorly advertised.

Don’t give up on “handouts”! - in whatever format Innovative Learning Resources should be comprehensive - or they won’t get used! Simple and comprehensive resources are seen to be more useful than innovative but sporadic. I am running a workshop on practical animation techniques in PowerPoint during the L&T conference 2016. Be very explicit when defining “Learning Resources”. Your definition and that of the students may not be the same. Take home message….. You can (barely) run an elective research project with year 1 undergraduates.
