1
Isolation A tool of the Devil
The Devil seeks to separate us from God’s grace and isolate us from fellow believers. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. Unity in Christ frees believers from isolation and provides access to God’s provisions for overcoming temptation and sin.
2
Solitude versus Isolation
Jesus used periods of solitude for prayer and spiritual strengthening. (Matthew 14:23; 26:36-39; Luke 9:18) Being together as one in Christ brings encouragement, edification, and motivation for good works (Acts 2:44-47; Hebrews 10:24-25) Satan does not want us to enjoy the strength that comes from being together. He works to isolate us, often in our sins.
3
Satan has Worked to Create Isolation (and Misery)
Demon possession (Mark 5:1-20; Matthew 12:43-45) Leprosy (Mark 1:40-42) Sin (Luke 7:36-39; 15:14-19; John 4:6-18)

Christ’s Work Creates Unity (and Joy!)
Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil (1 John 3:8) Satan’s work of isolating souls in sin is destroyed by the unity of believers who trust God’s grace! (Acts 19:18-20; Galatians 6:1-2; James 5:16)

Don’t Be a Dying (M)ember!
“Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.” (Phil. 1:27) Don’t Be a Dying (M)ember!
