Psychophysiological Illness Literally “mind-body illness”; refers to stress-related illnesses like hypertension or stress headaches Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) Literally, “the study of mind and the immune system”; studies the relationship between psychological issues and the immune system Lymphocytes Cells that work to fight and remove cancers, diseases, viruses, bacteria, and other harmful foreign bodies
