Vocabulary Central Nervous System- is made up of the brain and spinal cord. Control center of the body. All information is brought to it. Example You are reaching under your desk and your fingers touch a pencil. The stimulus of touching the pencil triggers nerve impulses in sensory neurons of your fingers. The nerve impulses travel up your brain, telling you there is a pencil. Nerve impulses are sent back down to your fingers, which tells them to grab the pencil. PROPERTY OF PIMA COUNTY JTED, 2010

8 Peripheral Nervous System
