10. Some tips for when you are reading at home…
Look at the front cover and talk about what you think the book might be like
Look through the book and discuss all the pictures/ illustrations
Talk about what has happened and what might happen next
Read the book together, pointing at the words as you read
Let your child read the book to you
Talk about the story afterwards- what was your favourite part? etc
Get your child to retell the story in their own words
