2. Requirements:
1. No Man’s Land - What are the10 major events of the novel experienced in 24
hours. Rank from 1-10 and justify your rankings.
- You must include:
-trench life and trench warfare, ties to home, and make reference to 5 main
characters
2. Discuss/Explain the following WWI topics:
-How does the World’s perception of Canada/Canadian soldiers change over the course of the war?
-Do you think Canada’s contributions to the war were adequate? Explain why or why not.
-How significant was the role that women played in WW1 (overseas and at home)? Explain.
-How was Newfoundland’s role different from Canada’s?
3. Make a report card for Canada’s major battles (Ypres, Somme, Vimy Ridge,
Passchendaele) Create 5 criteria that will explain their successes/failures.
** Info must be in your own words – no copying from your notes/texts

3. Marking Criteria and due dates
You will receive a mark on the following:
Graphics for all three topics /10
Creativity and presentation (using Prezi well) /20
Accuracy of information /30
Level of Content /30
Spelling and Grammar and Bibliography /10

You will have 6 library blocks (Nov. 27, 29, and Dec. 2).
Your project is due Monday, December 9.
