4. Rising Action
Victor and Michael talk about their summers and also how to impress girls (by scowling).
Victor thinks about and tries to see Teresa throughout the entire day.
In French class, Mr. Bueller asks if anyone knows French.

5. CLIMAX
Victor says he knows French and tries to bluff his way through a dialogue with Mr. Bueller.

6. Falling
Mr. Bueller doesn’t call Victor on his bluff; he lets the class think Victor knows what he’s saying. He does this because he remembers when he tried to impress a girl when he was Victor’s age.

7. Resolution
After class, Teresa compliments Victor’s French and asks him to help her with her own French. Victor decides it’s going to be a wonderful year.
